Morgan Sheeley


Morgan Sheeley is a Classical guitarist based in Victoria, BC. Morgan is an active performer, performing in many events during the year, his most popular being the Victoria Guitar Society’s Open Mic Night held at Good Earth Cafe in the Oak Bay Village. Morgan has performed in the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival for two years, winning the senior division for guitar. Last year he went on to compete in the Provincial Festival where he came runner up in the senior division. Morgan was also the recipient of the Helen B. Turner and Bradley James A. Turner scholarship.

Morgan enjoys playing a variety of styles, going back and forth between acoustic and electric guitar, though his true passion is Classical Guitar, ranging from the Renaissance to Romantic Era, especially the music of Villa-Lobos, Giuliani, and Sor.

Morgan started his guitar training at a young age, studying with Bradford Werner of This is Classical Guitar, at the Victoria Conservatory of Music (VCM). Morgan is now going into his final year of the Diploma in Music Performance program at the VCM through Camosun College studying with Dr. Michael Dias of the Victoria Guitar Trio.
